An exciting time of year for the Manitoba Rowing Association athletes and their training and travel! Six of the MRA athletes will be heading to Victoria for the Rowing Canada Training Camps in February, while ten other senior level athletes are off to Austin Texas for another exciting ten days of rowing!

Patrick Thiessen will be heading to the Row to Podium Training Camp in Burnaby, BC for intense training the weekend of February 8-9, 2014. Patrick will stay training in British Columbia until his five teammates join him on February 13. This group of six athletes will train alongside the Row to Podium Victoria team for eleven days of through training. Additional Coach mentorship will also take place for our Head Coach at this time.

Loch Inglis will be attending the Under-23 Camp with Rowing Canada in Victoria February 24 – March 3. Loch is in contention for the Under-23 World Championships Team. From everyone at the MRA and the Rowing community, we wish Loch the best of luck!

A total of ten seniors will also be headed to Austin for the second of three Manitoba Rowing Association Training Camps for 2014. The previous camp attendees had a terrific experience both on the water and cycling over 500 kilometers throughout the ten days of training. Wishing this group as well a successful training camp!

The next camp on the horizon is the Junior Training Camp in Austin Texas where a total of fifteen Juniors will be heading down for training camp from March 27 – April 7.
